Finished my audiobook

Well, I finished my first audiobook from my mp3 player and I thought I would blog it so that you would know how it all ended up. It was really good and I am now sold on the process. I get to listen to audiobooks without going to the library and without having to buy them! The book I read was Abducted, by Robin Cook. It was a fast listen once I got the mp3 thing down and truly enjoyed the new technology. Now I need to figure out how to hook my mp3 up to my car so that I can listed while driving long distances.

Picture for Press Ganey Forums

I was not able to upload the clip art from the Microsoft Online Clip Art website. I searched under the word 'star' to find it. The file is j0091313.wmf.

Since it is a 'wmf' file extension, I cannot upload to my blog.

If you email me, I think I can send it to you.

So much for audio books at night!

So I ran home last night, did the dinner thing and went to bed early. I turned on the TV with the sound muted and settled in to listen to my audio book on my Zen Stone player. Does everybody have a problem with the earphones not fitting their ear, or is it just me? Anyway, I started to listen to the book and got to the second chapter and fell asleep. When I woke up, I had no idea what chapter was playing, but it was still going strong. Now the question is, where do I restart the book when it was downloaded in eleven parts and part one includes chapters 1 through 3. I guess at the beginning again because I never got to chapter 3. I thought that this was supposed to make media more accessible, easier to listen to, and therefore a step up in my audio/book reading.

At least with the writers' strike going on, I have something new to listen to instead of TV reruns. However, if I have to keep restarting my audio book, that too will be a rerun.

Gettin' With It

Well, I finally purchased a portable MP3 player; the most economical one that I could find. I went to Targe't and made a somewhat informed purchase in order to be able to download audio books from my public library. It took me all night to download all the software and my first audio book and now I am obsessed to find the time to actually listen to it. Gotta go, my headset is calling...
